1. Start with the main international flight

In most cases, your international flight determines your entry and exit point. Build your itinerary around this hub to avoid unnecessary backtracking and optimize travel time.

2. Connect cities logically, not emotionally

Choose destinations that can be efficiently connected — high-speed train, short domestic flight or smooth road transfer. Avoid unnecessary zigzag routes that increase fatigue and travel time.

3. Major cities vs smaller destinations

Large cities often justify 3–4 nights. Smaller towns or secondary destinations usually work well with 1–2 nights, especially when integrated into a broader travel route.

4. Alternate the rhythm of your itinerary

After an intense urban destination, include a slower, more relaxed stop. The balance between exploration and recovery enhances the overall experience.
